what is experience harrisburg? experience harrisburg is our twist on an internship/job fair, designed for students and young professionals tired of the same old career fair.  we place successful businesses and organizations in local hot spots like restaurants, pubs and other cultural venues around downtown harrisburg.  attendees are led directly to participating venues (think of it as an "employer-crawl"). 
why should i go? this is an excellent opportunity to network with professionals from the area and find out about available internships and job opportunities, all while checking out some of our favorite downtown locations FOR FREE. did we mention there's free food?
when and where is it? the starting location will be at harrisburg university of science and technology (326 market st., harrisburg).  the event will begin promptly at 5:30pm with a brief introduction and explanation on how the evening will progress.   shortly thereafter, attendees will split into groups of about 30 and be led to their first of 10 destinations by a tour guide.  attendees are encouraged to stay for the entire event as prizes are given at the closing reception.
what should i bring...do i need my resume? resumes are required!  bring plenty of copies as you will not have time to speak in depth with each exhibitor. 
what  do i wear? this is a business event so formal business attire is appropriate.  a suit, or slacks and a dress shirt,  is recommended, and be sure to wear comfortable shoes as you will be walking and standing throughout the evening.  also keep in mind- the more you bring with you, the more you will have to carry throughout the night. 
where do i park? on street parking in harrisburg after 5pm is free.  if you don't wish to park on the street, there are parking garages throughout the downtown area that cost $5 for the night after 5pm. the harrisburg university of science & technology also has a parking garage, which will be available the night of the event. you can enter this garage off of 4th street. make sure to take a parking ticket, and keep it with you for the entire evening. after the event you will have to proceed back to harrisburg university's garage and enter the university through the revolving doors on 4th street with the assistance of the university's security guard. the security guard will assist you from there to the parking garage. please note that the $5 for the night after 5pm does not apply at this garage.
